Grown by smallholder farmers in the highlands of western Guatemala, Huehuetenango is one of the country's most celebrated coffee regions. High elevations, cool growing conditions, and the dry mountain winds that sweep down from Mexico allow the cherries to mature slowly, developing the bright acidity and concentrated sweetness the region is known for.
This fully washed coffee is clean and lively, balancing milk chocolate and brown sugar sweetness with notes of citrus and ripe fruit. A versatile Central American coffee with a smooth body, bright finish, and enough complexity to reward slower brewing.
