Grown on the slopes of Mount Elgon in eastern Uganda, Bugisu is one of the country's best-known Arabica growing regions. Smallholder farmers cultivate coffee in the highlands around the mountain, where rich volcanic soils, elevation, and a cool growing climate produce coffees with a distinctive combination of fruit, sweetness, and weight.

This organic, fully washed lot is rich and syrupy, with gentle citrus acidity and a tea-like quality beneath notes of black currant, dark chocolate, and sweet spice. The substantial body gives the cup a satisfying depth while keeping the finish clean and sweet.
